THE STORY OF Jenson
Jensen is a half Persian half British Blue who went to live with Sarah & Ju Paye in a rural Wiltshire hamlet with 2 other cats in 2001. He arrived at 8 weeks old on December 27th and very quickly overcame his initial shyness and began playing with the Christmas tree.
The tree had to be dismantled the following day as baubles and angels were flying across the wooden floor at a rate of knots having been prodded and poked by Jensen and his naughty brother. As soon as one clattered to the floor, the comedy running and hissing that followed was a sight to behold. He tries to live up to the name Jensen frequently streaking at high speed formula one style across the fields after a chicken, but to date, has only managed to bring home 1 rabbit. This could be owing to the fact that at just over 1 stone, he is not built for speed.
He loves adventure, and when he was 6 months old, spent a night up a tree as he didn't understand that what goes up must come down. Eventually, what went up came down rather unceremoniously in a shopping bag. He spends most of his days (as far as Sarah & Ju are aware) lounging around in the grass or on the garden wall, waiting for fuss as the neighbours drive by.
Everyone knows who he is, and following his election as Club Mascot for 2005, has become a bit of a local celebrity. He is not normally allowed upstairs, but sneaked onto the bed one day, resulting in some wonderful pictures.
Undoubtedly his ability to pose for the camera so beautifully is as a result of Ju being a professional pet photographer, or perhaps he realises that looking adorable gets him plenty of attention.
